Preview mode enables you to create an MPT file from a specific section of your project, so that you can view it with the TerraExplorer Viewer included in the TerraBuilder installation. This feature provides a quick method of checking problematic areas without creating an MPT file for the whole project. Preview Mode is only enabled when at least one of the project’s layers is in Edit mode.
To preview a section of a project:
- On the Home tab, in the Create group, click Preview and select Show Preview Area. A frame of three thin green lines and white corner points is displayed around the green project frame.
- Drag the preview frame borders or corners to resize and move the frame as required. If you want to reset the preview frame to the original frame around the project frame, on the Home tab, in the Create group, click Preview and select Reset Preview Area.
- If you want to zoom in on the preview area, fitting and centering it in the Working Window, on the Home tab, in the Create group, click Preview and select Fit Preview Area in View. The Preview frame is centered and fit in the Working Window.
- On the Home tab, in the Create group, click Preview and select Create Preview Area. The Creating Preview Area dialog box is displayed.
- Click Start MPT. When the MPT creation process is finished, click OK.
- If you want to view the MPT file you created in TerraExplorer Viewer, on the Home tab, in the Create group, click Preview and select Preview in 3D.
- If you want to exit the preview mode, on the Home tab, in the Create group, click Preview and toggle off Show Preview Area.
