Overview
PhotoMesh Gigapixel (GX) is a licensing mechanism that allows you to apply gigapixel credits towards the building of your PhotoMesh projects based on the number of gigapixels in each project. Within a single project, multiple build versions in all output types can be created using the same gigapixel credits.
When you purchase a PhotoMesh GX license, a bank of gigapixel credits is set up as part of your subscription and managed through the SkylineCloud License Service. Credits can be applied to project photos when building a project, or you can send a request to Skyline, using an online form or request file, for gigapixel credits to apply to photos in a project.
Note: As an alternative to the SkylineCloud License Service, Skyline also provides a self-hosted Skyline Floating License Server (SFLS) for installation on your own network.
Applying Gigapixel Credits to a PhotoMesh Project
If you have a PhotoMesh GX license, PhotoMesh automatically launches the Apply Gigapixel Credit (GPC) dialog when starting a build process. From this dialog, you can apply the required gigapixel credits to the project’s photos or send a request to Skyline, using an online form or request file, for gigapixel credits to apply to photos in this project. PhotoMesh calculates the number of gigapixels in the project based on the number of gigapixels in the selected AT area. When rebuilding a project that gigapixel credits were already applied to, additional credits are only required for photos that were added or if the AT area was expanded to include additional photos.
Note: Before applying gigapixel credits, ensure your floating license has been activated via the License Manager. See Activating Your Floating License below.
