This release improves overall stability and performance, and provides many bug fixes. The main user-reported bug fixes are included in the list below:
- Faster and improved texturing of tiles with very complex geometry, e.g., trees generated by Lidar scanning (NGN-147, NGN-84)
- Resolved bugs that were producing artifacts and other problems (e.g., improper display in preview and generated tiles) of Orthophoto and DSM output formats (APPS-5235, NGN-496)
- Fixed issue that occasionally resulted in corrupt 3D Tiles output when running PhotoMesh on certain computers, generally with high number of cores (APPS-5234)
- Resolved bug causing PhotoMesh crash when exporting and importing tiles (APPS-4024)
- Fixed bug involving multiple gigapixel credit charges when rebuilding project that gigapixel credits were already applied to, if PhotoMesh was closed before rebuilding (APPS-5465)
- Corrected bug relating to reprojection of collections or GCP's to definition of EPSG:5346 (POSGAR 2007 / Argentina 4) coordinate system (APPS-1660)
- Faster clearing of review data (i.e., photo projections) in very large projects (APPS-4212)
- More efficient handling of reconstruction tiles in projects with complex reconstruction area polygons (i.e., with a large number of waypoints): Faster conversion of reconstruction tiles that need to be cut based on the set reconstruction area (APPS-4184)
- Successful loading of photos from FMV: Fixed bug causing the load operation to fail (APPS-4279)
- Skip data preparation option is implemented correctly when rebuilding a project (APPS-808)
- Improved quality of texturing based on Lidar color (APPS-875)
- Resolved bug that caused error when loading an XML photo list file with duplicate collection or photo names (APPS-4068)
- Improved retrieval of Inpho band data: When the first photo is excluded from an Inpho collection being imported, the band information is retrieved from other photos in the collection (APPS-3642)
- Fixed bug that resulted in error when loading photos into a project that used the PhotoMesh default local terrain database (APPS-1036)
- Improved LOD simplification mechanism produces higher quality mesh even at low levels of detail (LOD) (NGN-215)
- Detailed AT report shows correct calculated orientation OPK and YPR offset information (APPS-903)
- 3D Tiles' elevation values are reprojected/not reprojected to ellipsoid in accordance with the option selected (APPS-3495)
- Data preparation step is executed successfully even on very large photos (NGN-520)
- Resolved calling thread access bug that occurred when the working folder was changed after beginning a build on a machine that was running a floating license from a Skyline Floating License Server (SFLS) (APPS-4480)
- Fixed bug that occurred when running PhotoMesh on an on-premises computer with AWS fusers, and either AWS fuser configuration did not include an Amazon Machine Image (AMI) with the word "fuser" in its name, or the instance type was selected before the AMI. (APPS-4079, APPS-4080)
- Better support for close range projects with poor GPS information (NGN-277)
- Resolved bug causing failure of photos.sqlite backup and disk I/O error when beginning a build (NGN-351)
