You can localize all the text in TE4W’s sidebar menu tabs and dialog boxes by translating the English strings to your required language and saving the new string file to the required directory.
To localize TE4W’s strings:
- Make a copy of the English strings.js file (located under the “.\TerraExplorerWeb\js” folder) and then translate all its strings to your required language.
- Save the translated .js strings file in a new folder under .\TerraExplorerWeb\js (e.g., “./TerraExplorerWeb/js/Russian/”) with the name of your language or culture identifier.
- Repeat steps 1-2 for each of the languages you want to localize.
Note: You can set your language as the default TE4W language by replacing the default strings.js file located under the “.\TerraExplorerWeb\js” folder with your translated file.
To open TE4W in the localized language:
- Append the language parameter to the end of your TE4W URL.
Use the following format:
[TE4W URL]?lang=[name of language (used as name of folder for translated .js strings file)]
